Ekowisata, yang seharusnya diterjemahkan dari  Ecotourism  menjadi ekoturisme merupakan salah satu kegiatan pariwisata yang berwawasan lingkungan dengan mengutamakan aspek konservasi alam, aspek pemberdayaan sosial budaya ekonomi masyarakat lokal serta aspek pembelajaran dan pendidikan. Ekowisata harus mendahulukan kelestarian dibanding kepuasan tersendiri dalam menikmati keindahan alam. Kegiatan pariwisata ini dimaksudkan pula untuk meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat setempat.
